This pendant was meticulously drilled and cut by hand from an actual Greek 2 Drachmai coin. It features the Greek Owl.
The Greek owl is associated with Athena, the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom, war and handicraft. The Athenian Owl is a common symbol in Greece, appearing on coins and currency going back thousands of years. Because of the owl's association with Athena, it has been a symbol of knowledge and wisdom since ancient times.
This coin was minted only in 1973. It is 24 mm and is golden in color. It comes on a strong and hypoallergenic 20" stainless steel chain. Other chain or cord options are possible upon request.
